With winter finally rearing its ugly face in Northeast Ohio, it’s the perfect time to drink a nice, dark bier! Not too dissimilar to the Dunkel, our three winter biers are sure to please your palate!
In November we tapped our Winterzwickle! Winterzwickel is unfiltered and is therefore known as a zwickel bier. A zwickel is the smapling valve on the fermentation tanks. This bier is slightly sweeter than the Dunkel and has a rich red-oak color! Unfortunately due to the popularity of this Bier we are currently out for it for the season, but it will return in November 2019!
December brought out the Christmas Dopplebock! Another zwickle bier, brewing it extra early this year allowed it to lager longer than usual! Making this 8% ABV Bier the strongest we make at the Hofbrauhaus! It’s smooth, mocha type of flavor brings people in from all over! With as strong as it is, unfortunately guests are only able to order this by the Half-Liter to ensure that our guests stay happy and safe during the winter! New Years Eve marked the last Half-Liter of Dopplebock sold for 2018, and will make its return at the end of this year!
The Current Bier of the month is our Swarzbier. January brought “snowmageddon” upon us and this nearly black lager is ready to help you get that warm, fuzzy feeling back! Another unflitered bier, this brings the roasted coffee flavor of the Dunkel to a whole new level. Still available to drink on site or take home to your friends and family (Or hoard it for another snow storm!) in a Growler or Crowler!
