Schnitzel Who?
Whether it’s your first time at the Hofbrauhaus, or your 3rd this week, our team always gets asked “What is Schnitzel?” Let’s find out!
A schnitzel is meat, usually thinned by pounding with a meat tenderizer, that is fried in vegetable oil. The term is most commonly used to refer to meats coated with flour, beaten eggs and bread crumbs, and then fried. Originating in Austria, the breaded schnitzel is popular in many countries and made using either chicken, veal, or pork. At the Hofbrauhaus Cleveland, all 3 schnitzel proteins are available for you to enjoy! We also offer the option to have your schnitzel served “hunter-style” and sautéed on the flat top grill.
We offer many different type and styles of Schnitzel for you to enjoy. The Jagerschnitzel is topped with our creamy mushroom gravy, crispy fried onions on top and served with Spatzle! Our Braumeister Schnitzel is a Cleveland Favorite! Topped with warm bavarian ham and gooey bier cheese over crispy fried potatoes! Schnitzels are also available plain and served with potato salad and cranberry relish.
Every Tuesday is Schnitzel Tuesday at the Hofbrauhaus Cleveland where various schnitzels (including a few special ones like the Paprika Schnitzel and the Buffalo Schnitzel) are available for only $9.99!
